for the Vincentian Family Celebration World Youth Day 2008!

January 2007 Dear Vincentian Brothers and Sisters, May the grace and peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ fill your heart now and forever! I take this opportunity to invite all you all - members of Vincentian family from all around the world to the International Celebration of the Vincentian Family hosted by members of FAMVIN Australia in 2008. This gathering will precede World Youth Day, Sydney 2008 where young people from throughout the world will make a pilgrimage in faith, and share in the love of God. The International Celebration of the Vincentian Family is an exciting opportunity to come together as one family to celebrate our Vincentian heritage and charism. The Holy Father has set the theme for World Youth Day:
'You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has
come upon you; Our gathering will be a wonderful occasion not only to prepare for World Youth Day, but to grow in friendship with our brothers and sisters and to find a renewed energy to be witnesses of God's love that the Holy Father calls us to be. This gathering will be organised by members of the Vincentian Family from Australia and held in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia from July 9th to July 13th 2008. I pray that this gathering will inspire young people of our Vincentian family to go forth to be witnesses to share our story, to live the vision inspired by St. Vincent de Paul to see Christ in the eyes of the poor and to deepen relationship with Jesus Christ. I look forward to meeting you there! Your brother in Saint Vincent,
